Patient Advocacy Services ("PAS") Privacy Policy

We value the trust you place in Patient Advocacy Services (“PAS”).  We want to ensure that you understand what information we gather about you, how we use it, and the safeguards we have in place in order to protect it. What type of information does PAS collect?


PAS gathers customer information needed to provide superior service, communicate offers on merchandise and services which we believe will be of interest to you, and to administer our business. In order to best serve you, we may gather information from you in a few instances.

First, when you visit our site, we may collect non-personally identifiable information from you. Through the use of computer "cookies" we collect data, such as your IP address, browser type, domain name, and specific PAS web pages through which you click. This data may be collected automatically and utilized in aggregate to help us look for trends so that we can improve our website and your experience on our website. Additional information regarding computer cookies and how to disable them is described below.

Second, we may ask you to voluntarily provide information in a few circumstances.  When you use services provided by PAS, you may be asked you to voluntarily provide certain personally identifiable information, such as, your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address.  Other examples of when we may ask you to voluntarily provide personally identifiable information include if you subscribe to our email program (information such as your name and e-mail address), choose to provide us preference information (such as interests and preferences), or enter into a separate written agreement regarding PAS providing services to you (information such as name, address, telephone number and medical information).

Additionally, in order to provide you with goods and services designed to meet your needs, we may collect demographic information (such as number of household members, age, and gender), purchase preference information, and mailing lists from third parties. We use this information to customize your experience on our website and to provide you with the most relevant information, products and services.

What information do we share and with whom?

PAS does not rent or sell customer information to outside marketers. We may share your information (as described above) with members of the PAS family of businesses to provide you with products or services that you have requested or to provide you with promotional offers that we believe will be of interest to you. The PAS family of businesses includes all PAS affiliates. 

In certain circumstances, PAS may share your customer information with trusted service providers that need access to your information to provide operational or other support services. To ensure the confidentiality and security of your information, service providers must agree to safeguard your information in strict compliance with our policy. We also may provide information to regulatory authorities and law enforcement officials in accordance with applicable law or when we otherwise believe in good faith that the law requires it.  In the event of a sale of all or part of one of our businesses, we may share user information related to that business as part of the transaction.  We may share aggregated information with third-parties, affiliated with Patient Advocacy Services in the case they would like to know aggregate demographics of our audience in order to improve their service offering.  This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. We do not share personally identifiable information with third-parties.

Does PAS use cookies?

"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by the browser on your hard drive.  PAS may store some information on the visitor's computer in the form of a cookie or similar file. The cookies, that are configured by us do not contain any personally identifying information, such as your name, or sensitive information, such as your credit card number. The cookies allow us to recognize you when you return to our site and to provide you with a customized experience that we feel will be of value to you. For example, these files allow us to tailor your experience on our website to reflect your expressed interests and preferences.

Can I disable these cookies?

Most web browsers allow you to exercise control over cookie files on your computer by erasing them, blocking them, or notifying you when such a file is stored. Please take a look at your particular browser for instructions on this function. If you do elect to disable the PAS cookies, please note that you may not be able to take full advantage of a personalized experience at the PAS website.

Can I "opt out" of receiving promotional e-mails from PAS?

We may send you e-mails with promotional offers or other information only if you opt-in to receiving such e-mails. If you would no longer like to receive e-mailed special event information, sales notifications or other messages from PAS, please respond to the message received with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. Your e-mail address will then be removed from our marketing list.

Will I receive notice of changes to the Privacy Policy?

As mentioned above, this policy is subject to change and the changes will become effective immediately. If there are material changes to this policy, we will provide notice of the changes by posting the amended policy on patientadvocacyservices.com and by revising the effective date of the Privacy Policy textual link appearing at the bottom of the page.

Correction/Updating Personal Information

If you enter into an agreement for PAS to provide services for you and your personally identifiable information changes (such as your insurance provider or billing address), it is incumbent upon you to notify the Advocate Case Manager to update your personal data on file in order for PAS to synchronize all third-party providers utilized by you.  This can be done by emailing Customer Support at administration@patientadvocacyservices.com or by sending us a letter via Fax to Patient Advocacy Services, attn: Administration at 1-323-210-7418.

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident and use a website provided by PAS, you have the right to request information from PAS regarding the manner, if any, in which PAS shares certain categories of your personal information with third parties for the third parties' direct marketing purposes. California law provides that you have the right to submit a request to PAS at its designated address and receive the following information: 1) the categories of information, if any, PAS disclosed to third parties for the third parties' direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year; 2) the names and addresses of third parties, if any, that received such information; and 3) if the nature of a third party's business cannot be reasonably determined from the third party's name, examples of the products or services marketed.
